Many of us tracking Pluto’s
momentous, fateful transit of Capricorn have felt especial concerned about the
Saturn/Pluto conjunction in Capricorn coming in January 2020.
To me, it seems like the last big
unresolved worry, the last dark cloud, the last question mark.
Pluto completed the transition into
Capricorn in November 2008.
The destructive potential of Pluto
in Capricorn was very apparent to all from very early on.
The Pluto Capricorn ingress
correlated closely with the economic crisis that plunged the global economy
into a deep and prolonged recession.
Not too long afterwards,
governments began to fall.
Political unrest spread through the
world.
That unrest is still very much with
us.
The world, by now, seems to have
absorbed much of the initial destructive power of the Pluto/Capricorn transit.
The global economy shows every sign
of bouncing back.
But we still need to worry about
the Saturn/Pluto conjunction in January 2020.
That conjunction, which takes us
into the realm of irresistible forces (Pluto and immovable objects (Saturn),
will involve the release of immense and potentially very destructive energy.
So what might that have to do with
current conditions?
In recent months, there has been a
rich mixture of positive and negative aspects.
The positive aspects have been
uplifting and sustaining.
People have been able to make a lot
of important and positive changes.
The hard aspects have been
unexpectedly hard.
On the macro-level, there have been
a surprising number of violent and tragic events.
On the individual level, there has
been serious, continuing physical and emotional pain and hardship.
The positive and negative aspects
come in rapid succession.
The negative aspects seem to be
especially strong, though.
The day-to-day contrast is
especially sharp.
One day things go well.
The next day something surprisingly
bad happens.
And it isn’t just events in the
outer world.
The hard aspects are riding
roughshod over our old psychological defense mechanisms, forcing us to face
what we thought was safely hidden from ourselves and the world.
We've also had to revisit issues we
thought had been properly settled years ago.
At the same time, we are having to
work harder to manage current stresses and strains.
Stress and adversity continue to
mount.
So what's happening?
A Saturn/Pluto conjunction in
Capricorn is transformative in the extreme.
It is also potentially very destructive.
It functions primarily by testing
existing structures and breaking down those that do not pass the test.
Saturn/Pluto tests are very often
extreme.
This conjunction is setting out
there, less than six years in the future.
It is something in the nature of a
final test and has the potential to breakdown structures that survived the
Pluto Capricorn transit and those that have been built since.
It is my view that present
difficult aspects, and probably those difficult aspects for several years to
come, will tap into the power of the Saturn/Pluto conjunction.
They are, thereby, helping to
release the dangerous energies of the Saturn/Pluto conjunction before the main
event.
They are also pre-testing
structures and people, preparing and strengthening them for the final
Saturn/Pluto test.
Hopefully, the Saturn/Pluto
conjunction in January 2020 will be an anticlimax.
Other astrological factors too
numerous to mention - planetary ingresses, special planetary formations like
the "Diamond Tetrahedron” of July 2013, the supermoons, the Uranus/Pluto
squares, and so on - have, or still are, contributing to the energetic overload
and the volatility apparent in day-to-day events across the world.
But many of these astrological
factors are in the past, or mostly so.
Their energy has been released and
absorbed.
These other astrological events
helped bring about current conditions.
In my view, then, in practical
terms, the looming Saturn/Pluto conjunction is the operative factor, now.
The bottom line is that we can expect
current astrological trends - with these deceptively strong negative aspects -
to continue.
We are still close to the beginning
of this long, pre-release of Saturn/Pluto energies and the negative energies
are still very strong.
Eventually, and most likely before
the Saturn/Pluto conjunction hits, things will ease up.
The destructive power of the
Saturn/Pluto conjunction will have been largely depleted and the world will
have been well and truly tested, effectively rendering the actual Saturn/Pluto
conjunction an afterthought.
But there is also some actual,
straight up good news.
From December 23, 2014 until August
11, 2015 - for about 8 months beginning this Christmas - Uranus in Aries,
Jupiter in Leo and Saturn in Sagittarius will be in trine relationship.
Long story short, the first 8
months of 2015 will be a period of high positive synchronicity.
And a great relief after the year
we’ve been having.
A lot of good things will happen.
Positive changes will fall into
place.
Also, during that time, difficult
events will tend to motivate and hasten positive change.
People will have more options.
Uranus will contribute sudden,
irreversible change for the better.
Jupiter will contribute timely good
fortune and ensure generally benevolent outcomes.
Saturn will contribute both wisdom
and permanence.
Hence, as stress and adversity
accumulate, we are being pushed to make
change and prepare for even more change.
I am sure that many of us are just
waiting for the opportunity to make a move.
Current astrological conditions are
not ideal for making the needed changes.
Jupiter in Leo, and Saturn's
pending ingress into Sagittarius are both strong positives.
But what we really need is for
vibes that will really help things come together in a good way.
And that is what the first 8 months
of 2015 will provide.
Those months will be ideal for
making changes, large and small.
Also, if we use that time to make
the right changes, life will be better in the years immediately following.
It is not just around the corner,
but the five month stretch between now and the end of December is not an
eternity.

14.01.2020 Conjunction on Pluto Saturn Sun and Ceres 22 degrees Capricorn, and Mercury at 24 degrees. Add to that the South Node and Jupiter are also conjunct at 9-10 degrees Capricorn. Also active is the Venus Moon opposition and Uranus trine Moon. If there is a great restructuring, it will be big news, and affect the very basic commodities such as food and housing.
